How to Use the Ford Remote Start System
There’s a lot of new technology being introduced to the automotive world every year and, whether you’re a new driver or a long-time enthusiast, you’ll eventually need someone to explain how to use those features. If you’re driving a new Ford model but aren’t sure how the Remote Start System works, we’re here to help.
- To begin, press the Lock button on your key fob to lock the doors of your vehicle
- Press the Remote Start button two times – this is the button that says 2x
- If done correctly, your vehicle’s outside lights will flash twice
- Then, your vehicle will start
- Some key fobs have a light to indicate if your vehicle is started or not, for convenience
- To begin driving after a remote start, press the brake and either push the Engine Start/Stop button or turn the key in the ignition
- This system can be used up to 325 feet away and is perfect for heating or cooling your vehicle before you get in
